Many new and exciting things have happened within our agency this summer. The director would like to express sincere gratitute to the Boone County Community Foundation for their promise of a $10,000 grant! This grant will be used to house our new Vista worker and to allow space for a therapy room. We plan to host an open house when our project is complete.

Our AmeriCorps Vista Project is underway. Our Vista has been trained, and she has begun assisting with community outreach, invoicing, and working with the director on grant requestes. She also assists with clerical duties and helps us to have a friendly face to greet our clients and the community during office hours when our practitioners are in the field working with clients. She plans to attend a grant writing workship sponsored by the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation in August.
